Autumnal show stoppers!

Autumn is always our favourite season here at Bishop Phillpott, and this Autumn is no exception with some fabulous collections from some of our favourite brands as well as new So we thought we

additions including Danish brand 2nd Day and Harris Wharf London. There really is a lot to see in store, especially now that we have our second floor open as well, offering even more choice!

We know it can often be daunting when seeing the collections as a whole, especially if you are looking for something specific. We're always happy to help you when your instore to pull out some real show stoppers, whether you need a new outfit for an upcoming event, something to go with a piece you already have or perhaps just a little wardrobe refresh, we love putting together looks and giving you that personal service you should expect from an independent boutique.

Here we've pulled out a few of our show stopping pieces from the season so far to whet your appetite...

This seasons Paul Smith collection has incorporated some beautiful colours to really brighten those Autumnal days, This silk wrap dress is a real show stopper and just perfect for an Autumnal wedding or special occasion. We love the fact that it's a complete outfit, no need to spend hours searching for a jacket or accessories, simply team with some black heels and hnadbag for an elegant look or to make a real statement pick out one of the beautiful colours for your accessories. Being silk it also means that in the Spring and Summer months you'll still be able to wear this piece, just team it with some summer shoes and let the dress do the talking!

A classic camel coat never dates, it will continue to come out of your wardrobe year after year. And the name MaxMara is always associated with the camel coat. Crafted from wool this piece from Weekend by MaxMara looks equally as great worn loose over jeans and knitwear as it does belted over a dress for a smarter occasion. It's a real wardrobe classic and one to be treasured for years!

We love this look from our newest label 2nd Day. Sister label to Day Birger et Mikkleson this collection is sleek and modern with unusual twists on wardrobe classics. This look features our textured jumper which has a fab almost a-line shape, layered over a white shirt with fun knot details. Both of these pieces are in store now and in different colour ways, but we love this look paired with denim for a day look with a little twist.

You'll have to be quick to get your hands on this jacket, also from Danish label 2nd Day, it's only been in a week and already is sold out in some sizes! This jacket epitomises the 2nd Day style, a wardrobe staple with a real design element. The rounded neckline of this jacket with is so unusual (and very flattering) and it fits straight almost like a boyfriend blazer. With gorgeous pocket detail and crafted from a beautiful navy wool with flecks of oranges, pinks, blues and whites, this jacket is a sure fire wardrobe staple. Something that will continue to come out of your wardrobe for years to come!

Culottes have been a real hit this season, with them featuring in many of our collections. This pair from Armani Jeans (as modelled by Sharon) have to be among our favourites, they're slightly longer and have a great gathered detail which makes them super flattering. Here we've teamed them with our favourite Paul Smith statement heels (also in store now) and the knot detailed shirt from 2nd Day we mentioned earlier. But wear them more casually over long boots with a knit, or with flats for a relaxed, stylish look.

Faux fur is all over the place this season, and we love the rock chick look it can add to any outfit. This statement jacket from Australian brand Unreal Fur has proved a real hit with customers who are pairing it with their favourite JBrand jeans. The quality of the faux fur is great and the shape is fantastic, don't miss out on yours as we have just one left!

How gorgeous does this Weekend by MaxMara silk shirt look paired with denim, with a cute Peter Pan style collar and contrast piping this shirt is the perfect piece for that effortless style we all aspire to!

And last, but by no means least we present to you the ultimate in show stopping coats. Bitte Kai Rand is famed for her coats and she does not disappoint us here with this sunshine yellow wool coat. Worn over your Autumn wardrobe this coat is sure to add a little colour to a dull Autumn day, and believe us the yellow is super flattering!
