Casual outfit inspiration...
More than ever people are dressing more casually. Perhaps it's the combination of lockdowns, or the fact that more of us are working from home but we've seen a huge rise in those of you seeking out casual pieces for your wardrobes. But we're here to show you that casual need not be dull, you can still feel fabulous with a few carefully considered pieces.
The key is to invest in quality pieces, pieces that feel amazing to wear and give you that confidence boost despite the fact that they are more casual. Be that gorgeous textures from knitwear, sumptuously soft cashmere, or denim with the perfect fit.
You can inject some added interest to your casual outfits by layering up pieces to combine textures and colours for something that looks put together without trying too hard. This is especially great in the winter months. The key to the layered look is looking out for similar colour tones within pieces, perhaps picking out a statement colour within the print to take through the rest of your outfit. And if you are going for a tonal look then make sure to mix up the textures to add interest to your outfit.
One of the great things to remember when putting together a layered look is that it is a great way of dressing down those smarter pieces within your wardrobe. Perhaps layer a chunky knit over a silk shirt or dress to make it more wearable for the everyday. We love the way adding a knit over a dress makes it much more wearable for the everyday, giving existing pieces in your wardrobe a new lease of life.
It doesn't have to always be denim to dress down, don't get us a wrong we do love a good pair of jeans (if you haven't tried our Paige jeans yet you really should-the fit & fabric is amazing!) but there are so many great trousers around at the moment that are great for the casual looks, be that different coloured denim, the famous Paige Maisley jogger (below) or cords, there's some great denim alternatives.
And always remember accessories, adding some jewellery, a scarf or in fact a bag can immediately update a look in a super easy way.
