Coat season is here & we've got some beautiful ones to share with you!

We know some people dread it, but we can't help but love it when the weather turns a little cooler and we get to wear our coats again. The great thing about the right coat is that it can really add to your look, it's not just a way of adding some extra warmth (or perhaps even a waterproof layer) but a way of adding a new dimension to your outfit. Never under estimate the power of a coat to add an exciting new design element and pull your look together.

Coats are often the biggest imvestments in our wardrobes, but for the amount we wear them, they really are worth investing in. The key to getting your wear out of them is by choosing a piece that has been properly tailored, to give you a great shape over your autumn layers, to look at the quality of the fabrics and their practicalities and most of all to find something you really feel great in!

Whether you are looking for lighter jackets to layer, a tailored piece, a statement coat or something that combines practicality and style, we thought we'd share some of our coat selections that are in store now with you. From tailored wool checks from Paul Smith, to oversized parkas from Weekend by MaxMara and statement 'teddy' coats from Marc Cain, there's a hige variety to suit your needs in store.

One of our most exciting brands for coats is the Scandinavian brand BRGN who produce fully waterproof coats (with integral hoods) that are not only super practical but have style to them. These coats are something we had searched high and low for for many years and so when we brought you the first collection last winter we were so pleased that you loved them as much as us!

For those not familiar with the brand, BRGN are a female founded brand that came together whilst they were in search of the perfect rainwear that was not only practical but looked stylish, they use an innovative, technical finish to their fabric which means they are fully waterproof. Their collection features a whole host of different shapes and styles, from oversized to a more tailored classic trench shape, all crafted from their beautiful waterproof fabric. We have lived in ours throughout the seasons as we all know rain is a common feature in the Cornish weather!
