The 'African Fairytale' collection from Marc Cain has just landed!

This week has seen a new selection of both Marc Cain and Marc Cain sports arrive in store, so we thought we'd share with you some of our favourite pieces from the 'African Fairytale' collection in this weeks blog.

The theme for this collection is 'African Fairytale' combining gorgeous Batik prints with vibrant reds and rich navy and cream. With beautiful fabrics including linen and silk mixes and some gorgeous cotton basics, it's a great collection to mix and match and add a touch of vibrancy to your wardrobe. Marc Cain is always known for it's more tailored and fitted looks and this collection is no different, from a fab trouser suit (which can be worn in a variety of ways) to gorgeous tops to revamp your wardrobe. Here we've picked some of our favourite pieces and offer you some ideas for different ways to style, do pop in store for more inspiration, including a whole host of Weekend by MaxMara arrivals (more on that in a future blog post!)

First up, and one of our favourite pieces of the collection is this absolutely beautiful trouser suit. Tailored perfectly and crafted from a linen mix which is designed to be a little smarter and more crease resistant than your usual linen, we think this is such a versatile piece. Wear together for a tailored look with the Batik print blouse featured below and heels, which would be perfect for a special ocassion. Or team with a simple white vest or tee and trainers for a smart/ casual look. The Batik print top can be worn in a whole host of different ways, with tones of black, cream and red in it, you can pick up any of these colours to wear as trousers for a contrast. Marc Cain basics are just the most amazing quality, they fit so well, keep their shape and are of a lovely high grade fabric with just the right amount of stretch to make them comfortable. This tailored shirt dress is such a great shape, with a waist tie detail that you can tie various ways depending on how fitted you like the look. These striped trousers are crafted from such a beaitiful fabric, keeping them tailored in shape but without being too structured. They can be worn in a whole host of ways, from daytime casual to an evening look. Team with espadrilles/ heels and a red blouse as Marc Cain have done below for an evening look. Team with a t-shirt, trainers and a cross body bag for a daytime look, or combine with one of the gorgeous linen tops from our Marc Cain collection, which you can see below, to keep the look clean and simple. A twist on a classic, with a gathered waist detail, this linen cotton top will be a great staple for any wardrobe. Team under the red Marc Cain suit or the striped trousers above, or simply wear with wide leg jeans or your favourite pair of linen trousers. It really will be a hard working wardrobe piece. Not part of the Marc Cain collection, but it fits in so well that we just had to share, is this stunner of a silk dress from Primrose Park. A dress to wear more formally as well as casually it looks equally great teamed with heels and gold accessories as it does with a denim jacket and trainers. We love pieces in our wardrobe that we can get a whole lot of wear out of by wearing in different ways, and this dress is definitely one of those pieces. Primrose Park dress £269
